Walk into The Beekman and look up. The atrium rises nine stories over your head, balcony after balcony, and it’s the kind of room that makes you lower your voice without meaning to. The Bar Room sits right beneath it, in one of the most beautiful historic buildings in lower Manhattan.
It’s romantic without trying too hard, which makes it just as right for a date as for two friends who haven’t caught up in a while.
What to know
Everything here is made with care, from the drinks to the room itself. It isn’t cheap, and it doesn’t need to be: this is a place to order one good cocktail, settle in, and let the building do the rest. Ask for a seat where you can see up into the atrium.
Going? Tell them MUSEENYC sent you. It's not a discount and there's nothing to redeem — we just want them to know where you heard it.
