The vibe here is not like other bars, and it is hard to put a finger on why until you notice the owner is in the crowd rather than behind it. That one thing changes the whole room.
What follows is a night where shots keep appearing in your direction without anyone quite deciding to order them. The menu behind the bar is enormous, so pick whatever you like and expect more of it to arrive.
It is the best room in the city we know of for a birthday, and that is not an accident — KeyBar takes care of its patrons in a way almost nowhere else bothers to.
What to know
Doors from 6pm, and it runs to 4am on Friday and Saturday. If you live nearby, you are luckier than you know. If you do not, it’s worth the trip anyway — we’d make it anytime.
