Boat noodle soup — the dense, almost black broth built on blood and spice, named for the vendors who sold it from boats on Bangkok’s canals. It’s a different dish from the clear noodle soup most Thai menus default to, and this is one of the better versions in the city.
What to know
The pad kee mao is the order alongside it. On Broadway, in the stretch of Astoria known for its density of Thai kitchens — worth the trip out even if you’re coming from Manhattan.
