There is a plunge pool in the middle of the dance floor, a disco ball above it, and a vending machine that sells swimsuits. Le Bain has been committing to this without a trace of irony for years, which is most of why it works.
It sits at the top of The Standard, High Line, with a roof deck above the main room and the Hudson on one side.
What to know
Best with a group — it is built for a night out rather than a quiet drink, though plenty of people come as a couple. It gets crowded and it draws a tourist crowd, so go after dark and go expecting a party rather than a view.
