This is a genuinely high rooftop, which sounds obvious until you have been to enough of them. Most of the city’s are somewhere between fifteen and thirty floors, high enough for a view and low enough to still feel like a building. Overstory is on the sixty-fourth floor of 70 Pine, and the difference is not incremental.
The outdoor terrace is compact, with the city on every side of it. The scale of what you are looking at does the rest.
What to know
Reservation only, so it is not somewhere you wander into — which is also why you can get the experience without standing behind a crowd of other people photographing it. Worth going more than once; it is a different view depending on the light and the weather.
