One of the more humble lunch carts in Midtown, run by a lovely family who are genuinely cooking rather than assembling. The portion size exceeds the price by some margin, and you can have it built however you like.
What to know
Get the double chicken over rice. Here’s the part most people don’t know: they keep two kinds of rice, saffron and yellow, and both are exceptional — but you have to ask for the one you want or you’ll get whatever comes. Lunch is the rush; go either side of it.
