A short stretch of stones at the foot of Main Street where you can stand at the water with the Brooklyn Bridge on one side and the Manhattan Bridge overhead. Not a swimming beach — a place to sit and look, especially at sunset.
What to know
It does get crowded, and it’s still worth it: find a seat and stay a while. The waterfront walkway ties this to everything else down here — Jane’s Carousel, the Manhattan Bridge lookout, Main Street Park and the Brooklyn Bridge Park piers are all connected on foot, so DUMBO is one continuous walk rather than a set of separate trips.
